Charles Hadrien III

Charles Hadrien IIIOriginally the lord of a large hold (the original name for Damocles has been lost to time), Charles Hadrien III declared himself king over the lords under his influence.
Despite some early resistance the King of Damocles proved driven, charismatic, and tactically brilliant. Those lords would swear allegiance to Damocles or be put to the sword without mercy; this continued until 1E 000, the official founding of the kingdom, when those in the immediate area ceded their sovereignty to their new liege.
King Charles Hadrien III was beloved amongst his people and when he died in 1E 012, tens of thousands attended his funeral to mourn his passing. His son, Charles Hadrien IV, took the throne and continued his father’s legacy, consolidating the power of the Kingdom and ensuring it’s permanence for another 140 years.
